Frassati January Events: Let’s Kick Off 2018 Right, Shall We?

Thursday, January 4thSt. Patrick Parish Scripture Study:
I am pleased that over 40 attended our first St. Patrick’s Parish Scripture Study. If you missed the first one, don’t worry. You are most welcome to attend the next one, and you are encouraged to invite a friend. (This is a perfect opportunity to evangelize a friend or family member who is open to a Catholic understanding of the Scriptures.)
 
By popular demand, before we officially begin Scott Hahn’s DVD course, The Bible and the Sacraments: A Journey Through Scripture, in March, we will continue with Doug Ritzenthaler’s three-part introduction: 
 
Part II: An Introduction to “Types” and “Mystagogy” in the Bible
 
The meeting will be one hour long with time for Q&A and refreshments will be served. Future meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month.
Sunday, January 7th, Escape an 80’s Dance Party:
It’s time for another Frassati escape room adventure:

I’ve already reserved a room for 10 on Sunday, January 7th, at 6:00pm.
If you’d like to attend, write your name and email address on the Google doc below and reimburse me $23.00 via Google Wallet.  (If you’ve never used Google Wallet before, it’s very easy.  Just click on the link below, click on “Send Money” and then put in my email address: zeilerop@gmail.com.  It takes less than 5 minutes.)  The first 9 to sign up on the Google doc below and pay via Google Wallet will be the ones attending.

Saturday, January 13th: Columbus Relief Service:
Please join us in the Columbus Relief Service Project:
If you’d like to volunteer with us, some of us will be meeting at Holy Family Soup Kitchen (http://hfsk.org/) on Saturday, January 13th, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at least.  But if you’d like to volunteer with us, you need to register beforehand on the above Columbus Relief website sometime beforehand.
You are also most welcome to attend the entire event.  Please find the full schedule at the website above.
Thursday, January 18th, Mass and a Meal is Back!
 
Fr. Jerome will celebrate mass at 7pm in St. Patrick Church and then we will have a potluck-style meal to follow in St. Patrick Hall which will be open at 6:30pm for food drop off. Each month volunteers contribute to the potluck meal. Please fill out the form below with your RSVP and your potential dish contribution.  Please sign up early so that others know what and how much to bring – especially if you would like to contribute the main dish.
Sunday, January 21st, Lunch after 10:30am Cathedral Mass:  
We’ll attend Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral (212 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43215) and hear one of our own, Nicole Simental, play the organ.  After Mass, Let’s meet up outside the Broad Street entrance and head over to Jimmy John’s (325 E Long St, Columbus, OH 43215) for lunch together!
 
Saturday, January 13th, Columbus Relief Project
Please consider joining us in the Columbus Relief Service Project.

St. Patrick Church at 7pm
 
Come adore Our Lord, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation , be uplifted by beautiful Taize chant sung by our choir, and join us for Dominican night prayer.  Refreshments at Claddagh Irish Pub to follow.
