April Newsletter

As April 2 (the first Thursday this month) is Holy Thursday, we will not be meeting then.  Otherwise, our April events follow our usual schedule.

Thursday, April 9: 7 PM.  Diocese of Columbus Theology on Tap: “Catholicism and Medicine” at El Vaquero (3230 Olentangy River Rd.).  Facebook event here.

Sunday, April 12: 10:50 AM.  We will be serving meals to the homeless at Faith Mission, which is right across the street from St. Patrick Church.  Meet at the church library and we will walk over from there.  You can leave whenever you need to, but we should wrap up by 1:30 PM.  Please send an email in advance to stpatfm@gmail.com if you plan on attending.

Thursday, April 16: 7 PM.  Join us for our speaker series in Aquinas Hall at St. Patrick Church, open to all, but with a young adult gathering at the end.  Br. Peter Totleben will speak on the sacrifice of the Mass and the sacrifice of our lives: where to turn to find meaning and direction in your life.  We will pray Compline afterwards and have dinner at Wolf’s Ridge Tap Room (Lazelle and Hickory Streets).  Facebook event here.

Thursday, April 23: 7 PM.  Christ in the City returns!  Join us at St. Patrick for an evening of Eucharistic adoration – including Taizé prayer, Confessions, and Compline – followed by fellowship with refreshments.  Christ in the City is for all Catholic young adults in the Columbus area.  Come for adoration, and stay to meet other young Catholics!  Facebook event here.

Again, the event will be hosted at 7 PM at St. Patrick Church at 280 N. Grant Avenue downtown. We hope to see you there!

Saturday, April 25: 9 AM-3 PM.  Outing to Dawes Arboretum.  Meet in the parking lot at St. Patrick and pack a lunch.  Facebook event here.

Sunday, April 26: 1:15 PM.  Brunch after the noon Mass at St. Patrick’s. Meet ten minutes after Mass at the St. Therese statue behind the double doors in the back center of the church.  If you go to a different Mass and miss us, we will be at Cap City Diner (1299 Olentangy River Rd., Grandview Heights).

Until we see you again,

God bless,

The Core Team
