Weekend Backpacking Trip
5pm Friday, September 14th to 5pm Sunday, September 16th
Zaleski State Forest
Cost: – (food and gear)
It is exciting to see so much interest in the backpacking trip this September! The date has been set for September 14th-16th at Zaleski State Forest. Please note the time of departure will be closer to 5pm on Friday to give us time to load up, hit the road, and be settled in our camp before sundown. Mario and Reed are offering two information sessions for the trip (you only need to attend one). We will showcase gear, provide a packing list, talk about the route through the forest, and share options for food.
The first session will be immediately following Christ in the City this Thursday (7/26)–we will meet around 8:00pm in the library at St Patrick’s (near the main entrance). We will hold a second session the following week (day and time to be determined). Please reach out to Reed or Mario if you know you are unable to attend this Thursday and we will coordinate the second.
To use the words of Pier Giorgio Frassati:
Verso l’alto! (To the heights!)
Reed (Bulldog) and Mario (trail name TBD)
