Thursday, September 15th : The Stoic, the Addict, and the Mystic

As St. Augustine says, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in God.”  We cannot choose not to have restless hearts.  We can only choose what to do with this restlessness.  This talk will be about how to avoid hardening our hearts like the cold stoic, how to avoid settling for “junk food” like the compulsive addict, and how to begin fulfilling the deepest desires of our hearts by following in the footsteps of the mystics.

The talk will be given by Fr. Jerome at 7pm in Aquinas Hall at St. Patrick Parish Center.

It goes without saying that we will be going out for refreshments at a local pub afterwards.

Thursday, September 22nd: Christ in the City

7pm at St. Patrick Church

Adore Our Lord, come to confession, and be inspired by beautiful Taize chant sung by our choir. Then join us for night prayer followed by refreshments at a local pub TBD.
