August 18th: An Anatomy of the Human Heart

An Anatomy of the Human Heart:
Place of Encounter, Place of Decision, Place of Covenant

“The heart is our hidden center, beyond the grasp of our reason and of others; only the Spirit of God can fathom the human heart and know it fully. The heart is the place of decision, deeper than our psychic drives. It is the place of truth, where we choose life or death. It is the place of encounter, because as image of God we live in relation: it is the place of covenant (CCC 2563).”

Join us Thursday, August 18th, at 7pm in Aquinas Hall at St. Patrick’s Church for a lecture sponsored by the Columbus Frassati Society and given by Fr. Jerome Zeiler, OP. The lecture will be about the nature of the human heart:

What is the human heart? If it is not the intellect and/or the will, what is it? How can better understanding what the human heart is and how it is changed help improve our spiritual lives?

August 25th: Christ in the City

Adore Our Lord, come to confession, and be inspired by beautiful Taize chant sung by our choir. Then join us for night prayer followed by refreshments at a local pub TBD.
