December Frassati Calendar

Dear Frassatis,

Please note our events for December, which follow the new event structure laid out in the previous post…a few events are cancelled and we will also be changing the book for our book discussions.

Thursday, December 4: Book discussion in a (well-marked, with signs leading to it) classroom at St. Patrick Church from 7-8:30 PM. This will be our last week with Knowing the Love of Christ. We will try to pick another book that’s a little lighter and easier to read after a day of work or school but that is still enriching and in keeping with the Frassati and Dominican charism of study. Please come and share any suggestions that you have! Again, we will end with Compline and socializing at a nearby restaurant.

Sunday, December 7: March for Life planning meeting at 1:15 PM in a classroom at St. Patrick Church (possible a little later depending on when the noon Mass ends). Please come if you want to have any input regarding the Frassati group trip to the March for Life in Washington, DC. Congregate by the St. Therese statue in the very back of the church (nave; behind the double doors at the back of the main church).

Thursday, December 11: Theology on Tap with the friars from 7-9 PM at El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant. We will all attend the Diocese of Columbus event together. This month, the event is on faith and science and has an official Facebook event. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Frassati, especially if you will be at the event anyway. Come find us; we will be sitting with a friar (white habit).

Thursday, December 18: Book discussion in the St. Patrick Church library from 7-8:30 PM. This will be our first discussion with a brand new book (TBA and TBD), so if you weren’t as excited about Knowing the Love of Christ, we may have changed things to your liking. As usual, you need not own or read the book in advance and we will end with Compline and socializing.

Saturday, December 27: NO HIKE (HOLIDAY)

Sunday, December 28: NO SCHEDULED BRUNCH (HOLIDAY)
