Pittsburgh Pilgrimage
Carpool meetup 7:45am Sunday, November 10th, arrive back in Columbus around 7 or 8pm.
St. Anthony Chapel (1704 Harpster St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 ), St. Patrick Church (1711 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222)
We’ll meet up at the Marcus Theaters in Pickerington to carpool at 7:45 to leave in time to make it to 11:30am Mass at St. Anthony Chapel, the largest collection of relics outside the Vatican. After Mass, we’ll have a brief tour of the chapel and visit the small museum with more information about the chapel’s founding before heading to Old St. Patrick Church to ascend the Holy Stairs. These stairs are replicas of the Holy Stairs at the Lateran, one of only 3 such replicas in the United States. We’ll take part in the tradition of praying our way up the stairs on our knees. After praying the stairs, we’ll have time to get a late lunch/early dinner, so please plan to bring your own snacks/meal to make it until 3pm. The drive takes about 3 hours, so we should be back in Columbus by about 8pm.
Sign up on the link to RSVP, and if you’d like to ride with us rather than drive (we have space for 7 to start with), please pay $15 to help cover gas (cash/PayPal to sarahsfrassatiwallet@gmail.com, choose “send money to a friend” /venmo to @sarahsfrassatiwallet).
